A beautifully balanced and deeply flavourful cocktail. The natural pairing of Campari and grapefruit typically feels quite summery but this drink is thrust into the depths of winter by the application of Douglas Fir. This eau-de-vie, though quite potent on its own, here supplies just enough of that woodsy edge you never realized you felt so strongly about.
We’ve heard the drink is also good over crushed ice but are too captivated by the recipe as written to risk experimentation.
